My favorite sushi place in Halle. If you are looking for some more authentic sushi this is the place to go! The selection is huge and everything is very fresh and tasty. Service is always friendly. Only 4 stars due to the price tag and the waiting time sometimes. I'd definitely recommend this place tho!

My partner and I love the sakura sushi bar. The prices are slightly more expensive, but for us it was definitely worth it for this meal. The sushi is sometimes very unusual and always very tasty. The soups were also always a pleasure. The ambience is also great. We only found the music to be unsuitable in relation to the overall concept, but it can also be easily faded out. All in all, we are just sad that we can no longer visit it regularly because we have moved. But for special occasions we would take the trip again and again.

Absolute cheek. Ordered sushi, called after waiting 2.5 hours (specified waiting time about 60 minutes). Allegedly the supplier was on the way. Nobody came to me. Just bad service!

Unfortunately we cannot visit the restaurant at the moment, but we want to support the restaurant with a delivery order. Delivered food (sushi) very tasty, high-quality goods and a taste experience. Thanks a lot for this.

If you fancy really fresh sushi, this is the place for you. The price is a bit higher, but the quality is worth every penny. This was our first time here and will definitely be back.

A restaurant with style. That was my first impression when I saw this wonderfully designed ambience ... the service was also very friendly. The food, we had the deluxe sushi platter, was just great and in my opinion absolutely okay in terms of price ... so if I like to eat fancy Asian food ... then I'll go there ...

Portions are ridiculously small. Tasty food. Ramen is very subpar. Crunchy roll was good. Ordered chicken and it came on two toothpicks. Staff was hostile.

First of all the positive: The high prices for the food are reasonable. The quality (and taste) of the sushi are perfectly adequate. The portion size is sufficient. What I absolutely didn't like: the ambience. Music too loud, light too bright on the table, flickering ceiling lights (we sat downstairs). I could have looked away from that. Much worse, however, was the service. It took forever before we were served - but then it went quickly. When we finished eating (plates had already been cleared) nobody came to our table for over 30 minutes to ask if we needed anything - they preferred to take care of new customers.

We have eaten sushi many times, but never in this variety and in such first-class quality. The quality has its price, but just the thing for special evenings

From A-Z consistent and recommendable Noble ambience, friendly & fast service, delicious drinks and the sushi was great. We had never experienced such diversity before. One likes to pay a little more for this quality

Great food and nice service. The location is mega beautiful and there is a nice atmosphere. The prices are moderate, but you get very good food for the slightly higher price. Unfortunately, no card payment was accepted during our visit because the reader failed. Hopefully this problem will be fixed quickly! As I said, otherwise a very nice restaurant, gladly again.

Food was better some years ago

Very friendly and helpful staff. A pleasant and elegant ambience. Large selection of dishes, even for those who are not so into sushi, there will be a very tasty alternative. No long waiting times and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The only downside, as we came shortly before the kitchen closed, the quality of the rump steak was a bit poor !!!! Which the waiter made up for with a strawberry iced tea on the house. So all in all a very satisfactory result. We would love to come back and can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. ???

Insanely expensive for the very small portions. The grilled clams consisted of 2 very small pieces. Once "Happ" and that's it. The rice cake was ridiculous too. 3 very small balls of ice cream covered with a layer of rice dough. It tasted delicious but the price / performance ratio is below ground. I've never got rid of 13 euros so quickly. Not recommended unless you have way too much money.

Simply eat delicious at the right price. I am so glad that you can elegantly enjoy Japanese cuisine here! I always like to come here.

Best quality sushi in Halle

We ordered a dish for 2 persons but it wasn't enough for 2. One person alone could eat it. We waited a long time for our drinks and the octopus was like rubber. In general our dish wasn't great as we expected.

The place is popular, but not very good. Prices are high, food is ordinary, service is below average (( We ordered Ramen, it looks gorgeous, but it tastes no .. I don’t recommend ordering it there at all. And they ordered Sushi ?, asked with Salmon, brought with Tuna. Giyoza ? did not understand what, small))

Food good. Service decent. BUT: NO CREDIT CARDS. CASH or GERMAN EC CARDs only! It was a very unfortunate end to an otherwise good evening. Hard to believe they haven't figured out how the world works in 2020.

It’s really nice place to be in but the service is so bad and I wouldn’t come back again because the waiting time was over an hour without no reason.

Amazing place

Sakura just feels like it wants to become an expensive gourmet restaurant while cramping in more people than a McDonalds near a railway station. This used to be the best japanese Restaurant in Halle (Saale) but it is not what it used to be a few months back, right now the japanese cuisine they have is basically just sushi. They used to have amazing Ramen, which was definitly enough for one person but also the price to food ratio made sense. They also had a variety of other dishes available (Don for example). The first thing you have to know if you want to eat here is that you will have to bring alot of money, even if you are not eating sushi and one of the few rice based dishes they have you will almost all the time spend over 20 euroes, esspecially as the main dish is not that much. It was okay for me, but I never really eat large portions. Now the food itself is incredible good, mine was a bit too dry for my taste (I had chicken and thai rice), but that might just be me. The sushi itself is great too, the sushi bar in the second floor of the restaurant is amazing, there are ships swimming around with sushi on them and you just take whatever comes your way. In the middle is the open kitchen which is very entertaining to watch. Both the cooks and the waiters themselves are very nice, immediatly at your place whenever you need something and while they are not perhaps directly understaffed they certainly had their hands full. The sushi is great, however not that good that they could charge for it what they do. A couple next to me had once payed 100 euroes for what they ate, and yes while they did eat more than the average human would even if you just eat until you are barely full you still have to expect to pay something around 40 euroes. Which in my book is simply too much. Esspecially because of how crowded the place is. I personally do not mind that they just shove in as many people as they can fit. However what I do mind is that if I called them before asking to reserve a place and then there is no actual space for me to sit. In general esspecially with the pricing having gone up it just feels like they are trying to fit in as many people as they can while also trying to be a gourmet restaurant. Those two do not fit together, they want to keep the appearance up for the normal people, trying to get them to come but the price for that is too high, so they try to be a more high class place but for that they are just cramming you up in there.

Cozy place to sot and eat

They change the menu. More expensive and less delicious.... And the service is really bad.

We went for an anniversary dinner here with my wife recently. I did an online reservation in advance. All worked out well. The ambiente is very nice and cozy. The waiter was very friendly, but did not come very often to ask us if we want or need anything. We went for sushi and bottle of french white wine. Minus points for not letting us to taste the wine first, as well the waiter did not pour the mineral water into glasses, just left the closed bottle on the table. Small things which simply need to work in a good restaurant. The food saved our evening - it was awesome. Unfortunately nobody asked us if we would like to go for a dessert, so we pro-actively asked for it. After some time the waiter came back that they don't have what we have selected anymore. Again the dessert saved it - it tasted very good. Conclusion. Anytime again guys, but fine tune your service.

The sushi ? is great. Already special roles to the usual sushi you know. In relation to the price you can expect high quality. The atmosphere is nice to look at. Really great. Unfortunately, the service is now a disaster. That's certainly not the fault of the staff. It is simply gone too little staff. Here is the management asked to improve!

So roughly nothing can be said against the sakura sushi bar. Nice decor, very friendly staff and a good location. The food was very good, but price performance is not very good in my opinion. Are absolute fans of Asians and I have often seen the same quality cheaper. The prices are not exaggerated, so no reason not to go there. We paid 40 € for 2 main courses with a drink each, which is absolutely ok. But our sushi was really small and if I hadn't eaten at the Christmas market, I wouldn't have been full.

Nice atmosphere. Although it was pretty crowded on a Thursday eve. We had to wait at least 15 minutes to get the menu. I tried sea food ramen and it was just OK, not recommended. But I guess Sushi is their specialty. I am gonna try it next time and update the review.
